The hospital where I work ( ASST Grande Ospedale Metropolitano Niguarda in Milan ) is a large national reference hospital that allows a multidisciplinary approach appropriate to the pathologies of the spine thanks to the constant collaboration with numerous specialists (General Surgeon, Vascular, Neurosurgeon, Thoracic Surgeon , Infectious disease specialist, Endocrinologist, Pain therapist etc.). This allows me to perform even complex operations with greater patient safety, taking advantage of the most modern equipment and postoperative intensive care. Being a High Specialty Trauma Center (CTS) which manages more than 700 major trauma per year, I specialize in the treatment of all vertebral fractures and severe post-traumatic vertebral deformities by collaborating closely with the Spinal Unit.

I have dedicated myself to the surgical treatment of vertebral collapses from osteoporosis by collaborating closely with colleagues in endocrinologists and rheumatologists in the treatment of bone metabolism and organizing national courses on percutaneous surgical techniques (kyphoplasty).

My annual activity consists of more than 1000 patients managed for vertebral pathologies. In addition to a general surgery for vertebral surgery, patients can take advantage of specific multidisciplinary surgeries that allow the treatment of particular pathologies of the spine with the maximum degree of skills:

• Vertebral Surgery-Multiple Myeloma in collaboration with hematologists who has become a national reference for the treatment of vertebral collapses in multiple myeloma

• Vertebral-Oncological Outpatient Clinic for the management of vertebral metastases.
